Fun World
Amusement parks have existed in USA, France, Japan, Hongkong and Singapore for quite some time now.Most of these parks are equipped with many kinds of thrilling rides to suit all age groups, from tiny tots to the elderly. These parks spell big business.

In India, the modern amusement park industry arrived only about a decade back and is yet to be developed fully, with most of them set up only during the last 5 years. In fact, a trend has also developed in India wherein small amusement parks become part of a resort having boarding and lodging facilities as well.

Fun loving Bangaloreans have never said no to amusement activities. Keeping this in mind, Fun World was established about three years ago but was closed down on the orders of the State High Court. However, this popular amusement park is back again with a bang at Palace Grounds, opposite the TV tower, after a long wait. It was reopened on December 1, 2000.

Spread over 12 acres within the confines of the Palace Grounds, it is just the place to have a great time with your family. Fun World is an amusement park, which has various kinds of rides for people of all age groups, like the Roller Coaster, Enterprise, Giant Wheel, Fun house, Striking cars, Atlanta Roller Coaster, Caterpillar rides and rounded trains. Attractive stalls sell fancy items and food joints serve a variety of cuisine.

Crazy Waters
Located amidst a rocky landscape, this Water Park provides you the right kind of thrill, splash and excitement. For a rollicking time in the pool, tunneling down the fibre tunnels on imported, colourful floats,go here. The Park also provides swim costumes for ladies, gents and children for rent.

Tariff: Entrance to Water Park for Adults Rs.99/- and for Children Rs.80/- only.

Wonderla
Located on the Bangalore-Mysore Highway, about 29 km away from Vidhana Soudha, between the picturesque hillocks near Bidadi, is India's largest amusement theme park Wonder La. It is the second amusement project from the V-Guard group. Covering a total area of 82 areas, the park incorporates the latest technologies and imported rides that ensures a thrilling and unlimited fun filled experience for visitors. It has about 26 water rides including different types of water slides, two wave pools and 24 land rides with special rides of kids. It is the only amusement park providing heated water during winter months. Other specialties include an indoor musical fountain and laser show apart from a virtual reality theatre with high definition video projections system.

Timings: The Park is open on all days from 11:00 in the morning till 7:00 in the evening.

Entry Fees: The entry fee for Adults is Rs.540/- on Saturday's, Sunday's and public holiday's and Rs.430/- on other days. For children it is Rs. 400/- and 330/- respectively. Discounts are allowed for group bookings.

Lumbini Gardens
Lumbini garden, is located 8 kms from Vidhana Soudha. It is a water-front leisure and eco-friendly boating park. The park stretches over 1.5 kms along the outer ring road in Nagawara Lake and is designed to cater the need of all ages. The artificial beach consisting of a wave pool and Kids pool, an impressive floating restaurant and various boating facilities like jet skies, pedal boats, shikaras, aqua cycle, pleasure boat etc. are the added attraction. The park also houses a high-tech nursery.

Entry Fees: Entry to the garden is free for kids below 5 years and Rs. 30/- per adult.
